I picked up a 2005 CLK a few days ago and am still getting used to it.

I can open all 4 windows with the remote by pressing the open button, but I cannot close the windows from the remote.
Is there a reset function for the windows like there appears to be for the seats or could there be a small fault with it.

    Any suggestions are much appreciated.

You need to make sure you are pointing directly at the black square in the drivers door handle or it won't work.

If you can put the windows down but not up, it shows the sensor is working, probably a fault with the remote?

Try pressing once to lock the car and then press again and hold pressed untill the windows and roof close. Works like that for me.

And it gets even more confusing.

My key allows all the windows to open but won't close them and the wife's key will close all the windows but not open them.

A software reset might clear its head.

It's not an important issue but very strange.

I'm sure there is a re set procedure for the windows, but cannot remember exactly.

Only other thing is to change the batteries in the remotes. One of mine would lock the car no problem, but refused to open the car, new battery solved it.

Success. Battery change did the trick.

Now it works I'll probably never use it but thanks for the solution.
