I have an intermittent problem with my W208 320 CLK. When at sustained high speeds of 80 or more the car will suddenly start to feel like its not running on all 6 cylinders and loose power. In fact the more I put my foot down the car actually decelerates. Also sometimes when I first start the car from cold if I pull away anything approaching rapidly the same thing happens. If I switch off and back on again its fine the problem will immediately disappear. When I first bought the car a year or so ago it would only do it once every couple of months, but on a 2 hour each way run to the cost at the weekend it must have done this half a dozen times on the way there and on the way back. Can anyone suggest the likely cause? All help greatly appreciated.
