On the w208 CLK , did the 55's have any flaring to the arches in order to accomodate the staggered AMG setup.

7.5 x 17 et 37 with 225/45/17 on the front

8.5 x 17 et 30 with 245/40/17 on the rear

This is according to the Murray Systems PDF.

I'm hoping they didn't as i have just bought a set. ;)

im fairly sure the answer is no as ive seen them on normal W208's and they fit perfectly the same.

Jay , you say all the things i want to hear ..... :D

The aircon is fixed ...... the wheels will fit ...... etc etc

Good stuff , many thanks

H

Affirm... I've got the staggered 17" setup on mine, with those tyre sizes, and no mods were necessary.

Don't forget to polish inside the rims Howard to make them easier to clean ;)

what happened to the wheels from your fairy godfather?

My CLK320 had the AMG staggered setup from new, the rear arch lips are rolled to accomodate them. There's also the small spat on the leading edge on the rear bumper. Having said that, I've just been out to look at it, and I'm sure there's plenty of clearance and I doubt you'll have any problems. :)

Pics when fitted please. :D
