CLK W208 boot stuck. Help!

I know there are a few threads on this on here and after reading a few, I still can't work out what to do! It's been stuck for a week or so now.

The key wont turn in the lock, the internal boot switch does nothing nor does the fob. I can't even hear anything electrical but i'll deal with that later, right now, I just need to get it open!

by coincidence, the rear seats were down so I can get access inside the boot all I need is someone to tell me how I get it open now?

Don't know how to open it from the inside, but I would squirt liberal amounts of lube into the lock and keep jiggling the key to try and loosen it up.

Done that. Flooded it with WD40 for what must be hours in total. No movement at all. I just can't seem to find out how to release the lock from the inside.

Loads of wd40, put the key blade in, use plyers to turn it.
