My 2001 CLk w208 drivers window has decided to Judder when I lower the window, it seems to have smoother action on closing the window back up. Whats the best advice to fix? Is it simply some silicon spray or something more serious? thanks in advance.

Had the same issue on my clk, silicone spay kind of helped but does'nt last. Mercedes actually do a lubricant specially for this, I used once a year ago & hav'nt heard a judder since. If I can dig up the bottle i'll post the part number, any MB dealer parts dept should sell it.

Thanks. please let me know the part number if you can find the bottle.

Not sure which is the part number but the barcode reads: A000 989 36 60

There's also another number on the label: 10206704

Here's a pic of what it looks like:

where would you apply this? would you need to remove the door panel?

regards

thats a good idea mark, does it do the same thing, as that bottle is £30 from merc!!

how do you apply this to the rubber or do you need to strip the door etc?

I bought some silicon spray from screwfix for £2.35 for 400ml, sprayed down the runners on both sides, did not take any trim off at all. Now runs like new. Had to clean the windows afterwards but cheap and simple fix and still fine and dandy weeks later.
