Looking for more advice please - trying to get my wife’s old merc w208 CLK through another MOT. The reverse bulb was out but the vacuum actuator to boots not working and I’ve got 2 different emergency keys (one works on door). But none are turning barrel in boot so I’ve taken the lock out of the boot and filled it with WD40 thinking it was seized. I’m now not so sure it is - thinking lock might have been swapped. My question is can a replacement emergency key be made to match the barrel? Is there a code? Or do I need to swap whole thing.
