Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone can help?

You know the knurled plastic knob which fits on the right hand side of the seat to be able to adjust seat height? Mine has fallen off, so my seat is permanently in the "down low" position.

Usually you can adjust it to support more behind the knees etc, but the plastic knob and the metal shaft have parted company with the seat frame!?

Apologies for the "Oo er missus" innuendo wordings, but can't think of a better way to describe the components! I'm sure a clip or something is likely to have fallen off, but I don't want to go fruitlessly ripping my seat apart.

Amusingly, all the electric motors in the seat work perfectly, just not the ratchety mechanical turny wheel thing!

My local MB independent said to "buy a new seat" but in a 2001 CLK worth <£1000, it seems a steep purchase....

Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated,

Thanks, David

The knob on its own is available as a spare part for £5
