Hello all. I'm new to the club and have recently purchased a 1999 CLK 320 Elegance. I am very pleased with it and also with Mercedes Benz who sorted out some rust problems for me without question and took only 2 weeks from taking the pics to completing the job. My concern is that the tyres fitted to the car are 225/50 R16 all round which is a combination I cannot find anywhere even in Murray Systems excellent guide. Has anybody got any advice or comments? Is this combination safe? I was considering upgrading to 17" wheels but am unsure as to whether this is advisable or not.

All responses most gratefully received.

Kent.

I run 225/50/16's on my 260E. Very happy with them and the way it glues me to the road.

225/50R16 all round should be fine. If the rims are equal width, it would me more usual to find 205/55R16 all round, but there is plenty of room for 225/50R16
