CLK W209 head rest not going down all way

Hi, I have a 2003/4 CLK 320 W209.
The passenger head rest won't fully retract using the electric operator however it goes down fine when I tilt the seat (to allow a passenger to get in) and rises back up when the seat is returned.

Has something got confused? Is there any way I can fix/reset?

I have the same problem in my car on the drivers side headrest, would be interested to know if anyone knows why, and any possible solutions. The passenger side headrest wasnt working at all a few months ago, had the motor replaced under warranty.

Hi,

I have the same problem from time to time on the passengers side of my C32. The solution I have found is to power the head rest up to its highest point then retract it. This has cured it each time it has happened to me.
