Yes that what I did then took it out and taught the gearbox how I wanted it to react I think it uses the first 40 changes or so.

Hi, did this process helped? Are you getting a better milage now? I am having the same issue, I have a CLK 200k auto and its only given me 22 - 25mpg combined.
