- CLK 320 Avant Garde
Hi All,
Forgive my lack of technical knowledge here.
I am seeking some advice on replacing my CLK (320,Coupe) (WDB 209) dashboard CD/Radio - I think it's called a Comand 2.0. It's broken (no eject or play) so I need to replace it to play CD's (radio, steering wheel controls and multi-changer control all okay).
My helpful local Merc' garage informed me that the part number is:
A 209 820 2689.
I am trying to find a replacement on ebay.co.uk and not having any luck. My garage are Merc' experts and not audio specialists. I've been told to that 209 bit is the chassis code that the unit was designed for originally.
Can anyone one advise me on a suitable replacement please as the garage warned me it could be a tough call to fit if I got the wrong unit.
In addition to the Unit CD failure the CD multi-changer in the glovebox has also failed. Perhaps it could be cheaper to have get a replacement for this - but I don't have a part number - again any help would be most welcome.
I have a suspicion that both CD units were damaged by playing CDR's
Regards, Nick
