CLK230 Sat Nav year 2000

Hello anyone. Just purchased a CLK 230 year 2000 with a factory fitted Sat nav combined Hi Fi unit. Pressing the sat nav button says no disk. Trying to identify what disk and the best place to get one. Local Mecedes dealer says on the phone he thinks it will be either an Alpine or Becker unit and I need the TELE ATLAS DX disk he has in stock for £130 + VAT.

Anyone been through this? Anyone with a similar age car so know the unit? I see TELE ATLAS stuff on EBAY for a fraction of the mercedes quoted price. Is this a safe alternative bet given I am not sure if the unit is working properly at this point?

Lots of questions but would appreciate any advice (from a novice).
