clk500 2004 nsr window regulator cab

Went to drop the roof heard a bit of a racket coming from the nsr window, roof and window went down ok but the window is a little jerking and making some horrible scratchy noises

I reckon the cable is snapping on the regulator.

Has anyone done one of these before??

Also is the cabriolet reg the same as the coupe??

I’ve done one on an SLK which may be similar. Got the cable from eBay, a Turkish seller IIRC. I found screwing the frame onto a bit of wood helped hold everything in place while I assembled it. Has lasted about five years now.
