CLK500 Instrument Cluster - Partial Change to AMG

I have been thinking about changing my CLK500 instrument cluster to an AMG one, but I prefer the black dials to the white ones, although I do like the overall AMG silver face. Does anyone know if it would be possible to change just the overall face to silver.

I would have thought so. - Can't you take the face off to replace the gauges behind them (should the ring gear fail and stop displaying the speed)?
