CLK 55
Hi guys, sad to do this, but the time has come!

My long term family car the 55 CAB is up for sale, it's been a pleasure to own and will be sad to see her go, but I’ve seen a TVR I fancy and want to tick TVR off of my bucket list, so the CLK needs to go to make room.

Enthusiast owned, I’ve had her for nearly 7 years, loads of history, well looked after and always serviced and kept up to date, garaged and arches waxoyld every winter, no rust.

Will come with a fresh 12 month mot.

Listed already at a very reasonable price, cheapest facelift CLK AMG convertible in the country I believe, but also still some movement on price, as I’ve been offered a px price already on the tvr. This is a rare face lift clk55 cab, designo spec, special order paint (never seen another merc this colour, thought to be the only one, certainly
he only clk amg! Variocolour 4). Comes with later command unit, larger clk63 six pots, eibach roll bars, custom built stainless quad pipes by torqueflow at MSL (sounds lovely, but doesnt drone at all when cruising), heated and cooled seats, cruise control, xenon lights list goes on, benefits from Ray West custom mapping, very reasonable MPG for such a large engine (up to low 30 at cruise on a long journey).

Rear tyres replaced recently, recently serviced, very tidy for age and a very high spec compared to most, factory upgraded harmon karden audio with sub woofer, sounds awesome. Good leather etc. Not your usual thrashed around and passed around car. Low owners, bullet proof m113 engine, would happily drive to the end of the earth in it tomorrow. Great car for spring, summer and autumn.

Loads of paper work and receipts and a large file full of photos of the work I’ve done in my ownership. No test pilots or boy racers, genuine enquiries only.

Car location Swindon, plate will be removed prior to sale and original 54 reg to go back on the car.

Any bad points? Has a couple of pin dents and would benefit new front tyres and a front alignment as I've fitted new front arms and adjustable camber and castor bolts since the last alignment, but that's already reflected in the price, if it was the summer and those few items done I'd be putting it up for 11k. Otherwise awesome car.

I never put the price lol! Put it up for £9500 but would take £8750 for a club member for a quick sale :)

Someone also just alerted me about the location, it's Swindon, Wiltshire :)

Ok forgot mileage lol, here's response I've sent to a couple of people that should answer further questions.

Last service was carried out by me in May, have receipts for the parts. I've been an enthusiast for many years, I'm over 40 and used to map link ECU's and know my way around a car and a toolbox to service it quite well :). I have signed and stamped the book for my services and have receipts for consumables on each service I have done. Always serviced with fresh shell helix ultra. Most of my services are done before reaching the mileage required as I wasn't going a lot of mileage between 2015-2019 and was always kept in a garage.

Services:

25/10/05 10059 - Mercedes Benz Birmingham
10/08/06 18614 - Mercedes Benz Birmingham
09/07/07 30215 - Mercedes Benz Birmingham
17/04/09 38309 - Mercedes Benz Chesterfield
09/04/10 44458 - Mercedes Benz Brooklands
01/09/11 57310 - Mercedes Benz Manchester
05/02/13 77922 - Trident Automotive MB Specialist Uxbridge
28/03/14 88086 - Self service
29/09/15 97762 - Self service
21/06/17 103803 - Self service
21/05/19 107294 - Self service

Just a few receipts and bits I have flicked through:

Last service was shell helix ultra oil, bosch oil filter and air filters. Rear pirelli p-zeros at 105889 (like new), all four front suspension arms changed last year so not many miles ago, along with genuine MB top mounts and retaining plates and new coil spring. I also changed all 16 platinum plugs with genuine MB ones at 97762 service in sep 15, so good for another 50k . Bosch S5 battery Dec 16 still good as kept on an optimiser. Valve cover gaskets done in June 2015 by mobile benz tech, new alternator feb 2015, door control unit Jan 2017, lots of receipts throughout the years for various bits. Had new heated seats system fitted in Jan 2017 by mercedes navigation, command updated to 2015.

In the last year the car has done I believe less than 1000 miles, I hardly use it now, always garaged like I said. I also clean out any crap under the arches and waxoyl every year - no rust.

I've got receipts for all work I have done and parts, along with owners manuals and original service book. Also bought a new style (with the metal edges) spare key a couple of years back when the other broke, so has two fully functioning keys and one like new.

I've had the car nearly 7 years.

It's a cheap, genuine, low owner, rare colour FL CLK, but alas not a new car as it is 16 years old.

Upgrades are Ray West live mapping session (390hp)
Eibach ARB front and rear
Custom torqueflow quad exhaust which sounds lovely and doesn't drone at all at cruise

Will come with 1 yr MOT.
