Hi guys, sad to do this, but the time has come!
My long term family car the 55 CAB is up for sale, it's been a pleasure to own and will be sad to see her go, but I’ve seen a TVR I fancy and want to tick TVR off of my bucket list, so the CLK needs to go to make room.
Enthusiast owned, I’ve had her for nearly 7 years, loads of history, well looked after and always serviced and kept up to date, garaged and arches waxoyld every winter, no rust.
Will come with a fresh 12 month mot.
Listed already at a very reasonable price, cheapest facelift CLK AMG convertible in the country I believe, but also still some movement on price, as I’ve been offered a px price already on the tvr. This is a rare face lift clk55 cab, designo spec, special order paint (never seen another merc this colour, thought to be the only one, certainly
he only clk amg! Variocolour 4). Comes with later command unit, larger clk63 six pots, eibach roll bars, custom built stainless quad pipes by torqueflow at MSL (sounds lovely, but doesnt drone at all when cruising), heated and cooled seats, cruise control, xenon lights list goes on, benefits from Ray West custom mapping, very reasonable MPG for such a large engine (up to low 30 at cruise on a long journey).
Rear tyres replaced recently, recently serviced, very tidy for age and a very high spec compared to most, factory upgraded harmon karden audio with sub woofer, sounds awesome. Good leather etc. Not your usual thrashed around and passed around car. Low owners, bullet proof m113 engine, would happily drive to the end of the earth in it tomorrow. Great car for spring, summer and autumn.
Loads of paper work and receipts and a large file full of photos of the work I’ve done in my ownership. No test pilots or boy racers, genuine enquiries only.
Car location Swindon, plate will be removed prior to sale and original 54 reg to go back on the car.
Any bad points? Has a couple of pin dents and would benefit new front tyres and a front alignment as I've fitted new front arms and adjustable camber and castor bolts since the last alignment, but that's already reflected in the price, if it was the summer and those few items done I'd be putting it up for 11k. Otherwise awesome car.
