DEAR team,

I am now considering lowering my car, previous owner has fitted Bilstein shock and HR springs, but there is a gap, i could do with 1inch drop.
can you advise what steps to take?

Fit shorter springs?

HR had two types of lowering springs, standard drop and Super Sport.
Heard from several folks these springs are very stiff and sag after a few years.
You should put thick spring pads if you buy the HR?

check how thick the spring pads are , on my c36, I changed to a shorter spring pad as well as putting in H&R spring for the perfect height.

thank you, so you mean leave the shocks, let me see the height of the pads, any good place in essex to have this sorted at reasonable cost
