CLK63 AMG finance packages

Before I start, I wish to say that I am NOT buying a CLK63, I am perfectly happy with the CLK55 and the GL320, but there will be changes in 12 months when the GL is handed back to MB finance.... but...

I was looking on line at CLK63s and was staggered at how much these awesome machines have dropped in price (£70K list??). I saw one on the Autotader which was for sale at MB Chesterfield - Black on Black CLK63 AMG with a very comprehensive spec - most options with the obvious exception of Harmon Kardon sound. I thought I would enquire as to how much it would cost to buy one on a PCP after is had shed the best part of £30K after just 18 months. I was surprised at the result, but maybe I shouldn't have been, the car is on sale for £36999 07(07) (I think) and 18000 miles.

2 years PCP package - £6K deposit 10K miles pa. £700 per month 14.3% APR Guaranteed value £21K

3 years PCP package - £6K deposit 10K miles pa. £650 per month 14.3% APR Guaranteed value £17K

I am staggered at the APR,I realise this is negotiable to a degree but.... BoE Base Rate at less than 1%!! The Guaranteed values are probably about right, considering it would be a 4 year old car after 2 years and 5 after a 3 year deal. The moral of this story is I want a CLK63 in 2 years time!

As I said this was in no way a serious look, I am v v happy with the CLK55 and the GL, but I will be looking a lot more seriously in 12/18 months!

If you are looking in 12-18 months time i'm sure the whole finance situation will be different by then.

I heard from a local broker that most finance companies are not prepared to give Guaranteed Future Values on vehicles over £50k?
Not sure how true this is but i know that despite there being massive discounts being available on new higher end stock the finance companies are scared to finance them

Back on topic the CLK63 looks and sounds awesome go on you know it makes sense

Please.... just window shopping The GL going back in Mar 10 will be the point to decide, a 4 year old E Class estate for family (dog) use and a 500 bhp CLK AMG for me

Im suspect that's you paying for the guarantee - it has to be paid for somewhere.
