It's not my fist Merc but first AMG.
I didn't know they made the old clk with this engine, the convertible is even rarer only 20 Right hand drives I think?
Toying with removing the secondary cats as is fairly mild noise wise.
It's certainly no sports car but will be lovely around Europe in the summer, if thirsty!

When you say the “old” clk, do you mean the W208?
They didn’t put the 6.2 engine in the first gen clk, only the 55 engine.
6.2 engine was only put in the W209 clk.

Secondary cat delete will make it more vocal. Just consider MOT implications.

Youll enjoy European trips in the car.

I'm fairly certain there is a CLK63 Cabriolet just down the road from where I'm currently living so will try to check for certain next time I wander past on a 10,000 step walk.

Yes, there are CLK63’s in both coupe and convertible.
These are W209 CLK’s

The old CLK was the W208.
They only came with the 55 engine.

Blue one is the W208
Black one is the W209

Sorry for being a bit misleading, "old'" was used affectionately.
It is a W209.
Yours is a stunner Rashman.
I've only had mine a month or so and have a few things to do to it, some paint correction and return the wheels back to silver, I don't like black.
It's booked in for tomorrow for both.

I’ve never been keen on black wheels either.

Long shot I know but, I don't suppose anyone on this thread owns a black CLK63 Black Series and is local to the Nottingham area? It was parked outside MB Nottingham (independent) a week or so ago when I took my car for brake work and very nice it was too...
