In my opinion id be asking more like £16995 especially if you want it to sell...
That's getting towards the late 55 prices, but, yes it would likeky sell quickly at that price.

You could sell it even quicker for £6995 but that is way below the cars worth. If someone is in the market for a CLK63 cabriolet, and providing the price isn't way higher than other similar CLK63's, then eventually the car will sell but patience will be required.

A few bits that stand out in your advert (the price is subjective):

1. Take the child seat out, buyers who buy cars like yours don’t want to worry about finding crisps or spilt milk in between the seats.

2. The below statement would put me right off, in fact it sounds halfway towards a scam:

“Once you pay by bank transfer you can drive it away and if you are not happy you may return it for a full refund within 2 hours.”

3. it’s a specialist rare car so itemise the service history, especially with it being full dealer history.

I would also make sure we can’t see your other car in the pictures you take.

Many thanks for your thoughts.........I removed the no test drives bit even though its not the sought of car I would want to let anyone test drive before giving me a hefty deposit and showing me a their fully comp insurance.....i certainly wouldn't want to sit in the passenger seat during a test drive..........

I finally have had some interest but they are worried about the head bolts and lifters. I used to worry about this but six years on and no coolant leak......

Any progress with changing the head bolts without removing the heads?

now reduced to 20,001. Wiggle room is now £1

And now you have 30 posts, you can advertise it here :)

To be honest if you want 20k it would really need the headbolts taking care of or reducing accordingly. People parting with that sort of cash for a rare 12 year old motor want some piece of mind.

It is a very nice car and I would certainly have considered it back in March, its certainly the wrong time for a cab!

20k does make it cheaper than the others advertised by roughly what it costs to change the head bolts and lifters.........Covertables are great on a frosty sunny morning. Unfortunately 500hp, fat summer tyres, and rear wheel drive is not...!!!!....Anyone prepared to take on a 63 will likely have been looking for a while, know what they want, and not care what season it is.....That was me 6 years ago when Terry from Wayne Gates Motors Harrow happened to mention that such a beast existed....6.2 litre 4 seater convertible????? What crazy car company would make one of those........Sadly its time to go electric and save up for a Tesla roadster with rocket boosters.

Ooooh, nice. The future Tesla Roadater, or the previous Lotus based generation?

New gen. The silliest car ever conceived....0-60 1.9 without boosters...........and a relative bargain......wrong forum for this though......

Wrong thread, maybe. Not the wrong forum though. It's a broad church here, worth starting a thread on it.

Interesting to see the child seat in it, how do they get on with the roof down?
I'd always thought I might have a 4 seater when we don't need the estates anymore and a 6.2 clk was on the list. But I have recently discovered the 4.7 e500 convertible which with a mild remap hits 515bhp very easily and they are very competitive on price with the clk but rather newer. What decisions.
I must say it does look nice and not really too far from me..

My son was able to climb into the seat from 18 months. The front passanger seat tilts forward and you can push it further forward quite a long way. The headrest also lowers itself. These cars are quite big and it is a true 4 seater. Only problem with the roof down is that it gets quite windy in the back and i get a LOT of complaints.........

Any advice on selling my own cl500?
On autotrader and heavily reduced
Appreciate any help

I must say that I have never understood CLK63 pricing, and this is as an owner of a CLK55. They just seem way too expensive.

If C63 Coupes start at high teens, I’d think that CLK63s should be in the £10k-£15k range.

They are very dated on the styling front and are nowhere near as good a drive as a C63, coupe or saloon.

I do think they fact that they hang around for so long does reflect that. I’m sure 3m plus for many.

You'll be very lucky to find a decent c63 coupe for late teens
