Hi i have a cls 55 and have notice that when the car is left overnight the front suspension drops.
The problem seems to be getting worse, takes longer for the car to raise to the correct height at the front.

Im guessing its not the struts as they wouldn't both drop at the same time. Im guessing that it must be something that may link both front struts, do the 2 front struts share an air reservoir that could be leaking?

Any other suggestions also welcome

Get it on star and have it checked. Ask them do a test on the air compressor to check its efficiency, this would be my starting point.

Fairy liquid & tap water in a spray bottle and spray the air lines to the front + reservoir etc.

It will only get worse (if leaking) and eventually stay down as the compressor piston ring will fail (kits are available) www.bagpipingandy.com

It is surprising how much one corner can drag the whole end of the car down when there is a fault, be it a snapped spring on a conventional setup, or a leaking air strut on your car. Most likely a single air strut leaking, but really should replaced in axle pairs if possible.
As bruce said, best sorted sooner rather than later as the costs can spiral if left.

So i have had the car in to a Mercedes specialist as i didnt have the time to check the car myself.
I have had the valve block replaced but fault is still there. 2 front struts were replaced about 2 years ago with refurbished units, having checked the struts and pipes etc we can't find any leaks.

Any other suggestions of what to check?

Is there a pressure release valve for the front struts that releases air? my thought is that it could be staying partially open

Did the Mercedes specialist use STAR to read the codes? What prompted them to replace the valve block?

The valve block was replaced as it was thought its the only part that links both front corners.

Pump works well, raises the car with ease and switches off when its suppose to.
Both pump & relay were changed around 2 years ago
