CLS 55 seat swap/replacement?

Hi All,

I've been looking at a few CLS55's and spotted one i like but it has red leather seats, the rest of it is black just the seats are red - i was wondering how easy is it to swap out the red leather (front and rear) for black - would the seats need to have all the same options (active bolster, electric movement etc etc) or can you just remove the leather "cover" and the actual main seat stays in place....

I think it is possible to strip the leather covering from the seats and do a straight swap for a different colour.
The seats have to be stripped to repair the heat pads or SRS pads built into the seat base,so it is possible.
But I would imagine it isn't an easy job and you may want to get a seat covering specialist to do the work.

If you are looking to just take the whole seat out then yes you really want to replace like for like options like heated and dynamic seats.
Neither option will be cheap.
