Chaps a fellow member 'ace8800' has some CLS 55 AMG 18" wheels for sale and I was wondering, on the off chance, whether they would fit my 2015 E63.

He has them on ebay: Mercedes CLS AMG alloys w219 | eBay

The purpose would be as a set of winter wheels.

The book spec of E63 winter wheels is:

9j x18 ET37 front
9.5j x 18 ET52 rear

His wheels are:

8.5j x 18 ET 25
9.5jx 18 ET 28

Thoughts?

By the way, if anyone has some E63 18" alloys for sale, please let me know.

Unfortunately they won't fit. The ET is just too great. The rears would be pushed out nearly an inch more and would probably rub the arch.

If you think of the ET number in mm, the smaller the ET to your original size, the further out the wheel will sit. eg, your E63 ET52 rear v CLS 55 ET 28, the wheel is 24mm further out than is should be.
Conversely, a larger ET than recommended the wheel will sit in to the hub and would possibly need hubcentric spacers to avoid fouling the caliper or suspension strut.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense :thumb:

I'll keep looking :)
