Probably just a light front impact, the headlight lugs have 0 flexibility and will crack easily.
I doubt he will sell them, how many people with a new CLS will be browsing for these bit?

probs an insurance claim job, and these bits are left over so go on ebay rather then the damaged parts dustbin
