CLS C257
Hello everyone,

I have just got myself the 2019 CLS 400 Edition 1 and I am missing a few things.
FYI: It is my first modern Mercedes so I might be unfamiliar with a lot of things.

My issue is that although my car has the Wide Screen Display, it has no touch input as well as progressive instrument cluster (when I switch the driving mode to sport nothing changes).

I have done a bit of research on the internet and I have found that I should update my car's software to FU2 so I might have to make an appointment to the dealership. Do you know if this is going to add the progressive display or touch function?

The car was made on 01/04/2019

Good morning-have you read through the handbook/contacted the supplying dealer?

Well, I have the car imported to my own country and I also don't speak German.

I was wondering if there is any way to know if it is worth to pay the local dealership for the software update.

I see, they will probably do it at first service but contact them to clarify-hope that helps.

Not sure about the C257, but on the W177 MBUX system changing the driving mode has no effect on the widescreen display, you select the display style from the menu system separately.

I cannot see how a software update can turn a non touch screen into a touch screen?
