I'm hoping someone has perfected a kit where you just swap them out...no faffing.

Looking on Benzworld , it seems that Frenchy has , there's even a 'how to' on fitting them and a video !
But he says no plans to make more
they were $200 a set.
As an aside , I think I have just bought your cars brother.

Remember that each rear facelift cluster is also £350 each (or there about)

Yes, twins I was originally looking for a 55, but the colour combo and 1 previous owner who went crazy on the options list swung it for me. It's a fantastic car, had it over 2 years now and still love the car. I usually get bored after 12-18 months. Can't see me changing for along time unless I can find a 55 identical.

Same minus keyless go and rear blind but plus side heated rear seats, heated steering wheel and active seats massage heated and cooled seats perforated nappa plus I've just added 18" staggered AMG IV'S.

I've got heated rear seats too. Heated cooled fronts , fire extinguisher , multi contour seats. Got a wood / leather wheel on it , don't think it's heated.
It's so different to anything I've ever driven before.
When I pulled up at home in it , my neighbour sent me a text message.

haha, my neighbour has a w218 350cdi in silver, just doesn't look special to me and it is pretty much proverty spec. I just prefer the look of the w219 I wouldn't swap!

My car is a late prefacelift being a Dec 2007 car and has the LED rear clusters as standard. Definitely a better look over the conventional bulbs. Also does the rapid brake light flashing in the event of sudden sharp braking. I wonder if this retrofit model also has that feature?

They all have LED brake lights albeit at the top on pre facelift.
Do you have a led indicators too? They all have rapid brake flash with sudden hard/accident braking.
...Quite rare if you have oval style exhausts and not the rectangular style ones. I've not seen one like that unless yours were retrofitted or replaced by MB using the facelift for one reason or another.
