Hi

Some advice if you would, I am thinking of converting my CLS to HID as I find the standard halogen set up not that good I have tried the extra brightness bulbs but not impressed, do you know of any issues other than then bulb out error (i will use canbus error free kit)

thanks for your help

Expect crys of "illegal" and "won't pass an MOT" but CLS headlamps are all masked and projected, so the beam pattern will be correct. You'll be missing washers (unless they were on as standard) and self levelling but I have had no problems with my kit (bought from an ebay seller as an MB group buy) and have now gone through two MOTs with them in.

Biggest advantage for me is I do a lot of driving late night / early morning and was having to change headlamp bulbs 3-4 times a year - which is a pain (and just another expense if you're using extra bright lamps).

Thanks, bought a kit off email, fitted and one light worked fine but other went out seems to be a short between ballast and earth, took off! suppose a cheap kit off ebay. Can anyone recommend a good quality kit that will show no errors and work long term?
thanks
