CLS Right hot film mass air flow sensor above limit

As I've said before, is there a way of checking if the cars been mapped?
Out of interest, does the gearbox react different with this code, as im sure mine was a little smoother after my airflow sensor was replaced and the error cleared.

And another thing, while i have the airflow bank 1 fault my mpg is better, so im proper confused.

The thread you are replying to is 7 years old and "Tigerade" hasn't been seen on the Forum since 2017.

doesnt matter
You could try being polite

I have helpfully brought to your attention that you had posted on an old thread and would likely get no response from the member.

When you are given relevant advice as to how to proceed you respond with "doesn't matter" 🙄

Hi Victoras, I’m not sure about the fault code you are getting with no CEL but the hesitation (if that’s what it is) when you accelerate could be lots of things. Getting a full diagnosis with the mb Star system by someone who knows what they are doing would be the quickest (and possibly cheapest) way to find out what the issue is. Another way is to buy a home code reader that may help. I use the icarsoft unit which allows a fair bit of live data to be monitored if there are no codes. Interpreting the data is another thing though.

I did suggest a proper diagnostic scan.

The curt response was "doesn't matter"!

Yes I and the other forum member who took the time to give you advice are serious.

Star is Mercedes diagnostic computer system that could diagnose the problem. Just because one dealership failed to properly diagnose it doesn't mean another cannot.

If your issue is not fixable why are you asking for help to fix it?

From reading your messages I will give you the benefit of the doubt that English may not be your first language but I still find your tone both arrogant and ignorant to people trying to help you so I am blocking you.

Reply all you like, fortunately I will not have to read any more of your posts 😁👍

if you believe the dealer when he says it’s not fixable why ask for an answer here!
getting it checked on Star ( the MB software system ) by someone who actually knows how to use it is the best way to find what is causing your problems. Often the MB dealer is not the best at doing this , they prefer to throw new parts at the problem at your expense.
anyway if it can’t be fixed just scrap the car , problem solved 😎

Exhaust back pressure sensor is a common fault with your engine , have you access to an OBD2 scanner ?

Several have tried explaining it already 👍

Greetings gentleman's , It's nice to be a member of the MB club and have you all aside me. Today I'm afraid that I come with same problems as our colleague's above, I got an s class w221 from 2008 V6 3L diesel, om642. My car on hard acceleration makes a bit of smoke now I know that the car it's old and should be scrap but there are some feelings and memories that makes me wanna save her so I come with this issue in front of you guys who love Mercedes as much as I do with the hope that I'll find fine mechanics and passionate men's of Mercedes who have more experience. So the issue is that hard acceleration gives a bit of smoke, no check engine light no other issue although as I have just done complete service I have put the star diagnostic and it shown that the right maf hot air sensor is over the limit so like a good owner gone to Mercedes and got a new y shape maf sensors (connects air filters to turbo), hoping that the issue will dissappear... Well... It didn't, took the car to 3 different dealers and pay no more then 1400£ to be told that they don't know and so if anyone who had/has same issue and managed to fix please please help me to fix mine.

You could always pull the egr valve out and clean it . Maybe also do the swirl flap resistor mod . These engines do suffer from carbon build up . Maybe even a terra clean may help .
