I have another set new set of wheels for my E Class, so the CLS wheels which have run during the summer only for the past two years are going to be sold.
They are the option R32 5 spoke light alloys from the CLS 500
The fronts are 18 x 8.5 ET 28 with 245/40 Continental SportContact 2 tyres
The rears are 18 x 9.5 ET 33 with 275/35 Continental SportContact 2 tyres
They benefited from new from Auto Glyms’s double wax resin treatment to avoid dirt build up and are almost completely unmarked apart from a very minor kerb scuff on the left front. (shown)
The tyres have 6mm front and 5mm rear tread and no repairs.
They suit the E Class well, providing much improved roll control, greater grip and I'll let you decide about the looks. The ride comfort is just a smidge firmer than the 16" standard wheels and interior noise on concrete roads is margially greater. No real suprise as the CLS shares its mechanical underpinnings with the E Class.
I've seen such things on ebay for about £1000, but I am looking for about half that if they are going to a good MBclub home. PM me if you are interested oherwise you may well see them on ebay.
