CLS

Hi all,

Just a question really, my CLS has no 3 pointed Star emblem on the bonnet, i have looked at lots of them and they all appear not to have one, does anyone know why??

The CLS has a grille with the big star already on it. MB never fitted the gunsight emblem to the CLS for that reason.

Wasn't it always that saloons/limousines had the 'gunsight' and the coupes/sportsters had the big star in the grill?

big start grill was related to avantgarde packet only?

My 2005 S203 Avantgarde only had a gunsight

W208 CLK had bonnet star.

But wasn't the W208 a 4 seater cabriolet rather than roadster/coupe?

I never thought of that! Good shout. I thought it would be some sort of 'safety' issue as the CLS is quite low??
