Hi All,
having a bit of an issue with my 2006/56 CLS, in which it goes into limp mode randomly.
I drove up to Stockton on Tees last week from London and all the way there the car was fine, 4 hours non stop without an issue. I left the car parked at my destination for an hour, then hopped in, restarted, and within 10 mins of the journey I was in limp mode, the car was very jerky and the engine management light was on.
I had the car recovered, Green Flag said I had 1 "fault" DTC showing relating to the o2 Sensor, and 5 other "pending" DTCs, 4 relating to the same o2 sensor and one P0244 Turbo Wastegate Solenoid.
Since having the car recovered on Wednesday, it had driven OK, the EML also distinguished itself although the faults remained. I had the o2 sensor replaced on Saturday using a Bosch replacement part from ECP (25% off for easter made it £136, so couldn't say no).
All of the faults relating to the o2 Sensor have vanished, however now the car is randomly going into limp mode, with nothing in the dash. The fault P0244 also seems to be intermittent as if the car runs without going into limp mode it doesn't appear, however if it does go into limp, it appears, and then clears itself again.
I have filled up with BP Ultimate Diesel and chucked a can of Forte Advanced Diesel treatment in, given the car a good blasting, however i have only covered about 20 miles since doing this and perhaps need to run the full tank.
I dont know if its a co-incidence, however I have been running BP ultimate for a few tanks now, however, the tank I drove up to Stockton on, was standard BP only and the car wasn't running great after filling up.
Any suggestions? I fear it may head into limp mode again this evening knowing my luck, which makes it a pain to drive.
I have had absolutely no issues since I owned the car, and its now at 73k, and was serviced about 3 months ago at 70k.
I was first thinking the inlet port shut off motor however I know my seal isn't leaking as it has been replaced every 20k miles at its major service and was only replaced 3 months ago... (prior reading

Thanks in advance!
