CLS500 Rear Door Handle

I have keyless entry. The rear drivers side door handle button and pressure pad do not work although the handle operates when the car is unlocked. All other handles work ok.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what the fault might be?

It will be the button in the handle, I had to change a handle on my E-class a couple of years ago as it just stopped working one day.

Can't remember the cost as it was covered by warranty.
