Due to lack of use, for sale is my CLS55 AMG. It is the very rare colour combination of designo mystic blue paint and designo porcelain leather, with burr walnut wood trim. Price is £14k including a December 2019 annual service at a well-known Mercedes specialist.
First registered on 22 March 2006, so one of the very last at the cheaper tax rate. It is MOT'd until March 2020. There is a comprehensive history file including a copy of Autocar when this actual car was on the front cover for an article on the best second-hand cars to buy for under £25k!
I bought the car from a well-known www.mbclub.co.uk member (C240Sport97) in March 2016 and a search under his username will show lots of history. I am the third owner in total. The only modification is that a X-pipe has been fitted to replace the centre silencer in order to liberate some more noise. There was no increase in insurance premium from Direct Line.
Current mileage is a fraction under 70k. The car has a full service history from either MB or MB specialist. Of note, after driving it for a few weeks in 2016 I was disappointed by the power, the car wasn't much faster than the Saab 95 Aero it had replaced. My local indy diagnosed a failing cooling pump for the supercharger. This was replaced and the supercharger taken off and re-sealed for good measure. The car now feels every bit as feral as you would expect with almost 500bhp.
The interior is in fantastic condition, the exterior also very good but showing the usual signs of 70k miles with some stone-chips on the windscreen and front.
Of particular note is the designo full leather interior – butter-soft seats and leather on all the surfaces which are usually plastic – a £2,400 option and much nicer than the standard interior. The designo paint also really pops and looks fabulous, better (IMO) than the usual silver.
