Is S sport mode? And if so what does this actually change? :)

S=Sport, C=Comfort, M=Manual.

Sport will start in first gear and stay in gears longer.

Comfort will start in second gear and switch up to keep load on the engine to the minimum, thus allowing for better economy and smoother drive.

Manual will start in first gear, stay in the same gear for until you switch up or eventually shifting up if no input from the driver provided.

I had a feeling sport also lowers the suspension by about 10mm but could be wrong . Maybe you have to change the suspension height setting separately for that.

Sport I and Sport II in the E55K definitely lowers the car albeit I can't remember if 10mm or 15mm.

The S/C/M just changes the gearbox programme.

I would guess the same in the CLS55.

Mostly that but in Comfort suspension mode the car automatically lowers by about 10mm above a certain speed. Useful on the autobahn when you don't want the other features of sport mode suspension.
