Hi all

My recently-acquired CLS55 is currently fitted with Dunlop Sport Maxx GT (MO Extended) tyres all round , which I understand are a sort of "runflat lite" tyre.

I'm not sure I like the ride quality on them (feel like they have stiff sidewalls) but obviously have nothing to compare it to. The car has no spare, just the tyre gel/compressor. I'm erring towards going for a normal performance tyre, but does anyone have any experience/views on the subject?

Thanks

Just yesterday i've fitted a set of Conti 5 run flats after 5 years of normal summer / winter tyres. I havent noticed a massive difference between the two so far. Perhaps run flats are better than they were 5-10 years ago? Im hoping they will prove to be more resistant to the crazy amount of potholes up here, ive lost two tyres on my merc and two on the wifes RRS this winter to potholes.

CLS55 tyres dont last long, leave them for a couple of 1000 miles and you will need to replace them anyway.
Ain't that the truth!! :eek::D:D

Thanks guys - I'll leave them for now.
