Good evening,

Recently I've been having this "clunk" noise coming from my front right tyre. I don't know how to describe it other than the "hit" can be felt in the dashboard and it really takes away the "comfort-feel".
It happens when driving on uneven terrain, small potholes, rocks on dirt road etc.

Feels like something is loose.
Been told it may be sway bar link.

Can anyone give me any clue, before I take it to the dealer?

Thanks

Welcome aboard.

Suspension clunks could come from several causes. The anti roll bar drop links are indeed a potential source, as are the balljoints on the outer ends of the upper and lower arms, the rubber bushes on the inner ends, the damper top mount, anti roll bar bushes, broken spring.....

Your best bet is to have it checked over by a good independent MB specialist. Dealers are very expensive and have been known to just throw parts at the car, at your expense, until it's fixed.

Where are you located, someone may be able to suggest a good indy?

Well, I had the car on a major service (Service D), + changed brakes not so long ago. They've checked the entire car, and seems like they didn't notice this problem? I don't know.

Guess I'll just take the car to the shop tomorrow and let them look again.

I'm in Norway btw.

Thanks

I'm sorry to say Norway is a little way out of my home patch, so I can't help with an indy :(

I do like Norway, I was there for the Lillehammer Winter Olympics, staying in Hunderfossen. Lovely country with friendly and welcoming people.
