Another +1 for Autocom/Delphi, been using mine for a while now. Just remember these are clones

Yes prefect for everything ive ever needed to do. Used it on loads of other makes and also about five different mercs. It paid for itself when the abs sensor went on my ML.

Hi Phil, does your car have parktronic & if so can this unit see the parktronic controller.
Thanks.

Looked at my delphi and has this

This does look very good value for money if it can do all this, does it do exactly or near enough what the star can do, for example can you do sterling angle sensor with it as that's what is going on with mine at the moment

Under Multifunction it has :

Air Suspension
AMG Drive Unit
Audio COMAND operating unit
Central Gateway
Distronic
Doors
Electrical power steering
Head unit
Headlights
Keyless Go
Multifunction Camera
Overhead control panel
Parking assistance
SAM -Rear
SAM Driver-side
Steering wheel electronics
Tailgate Control (boot lid)
trailer connection unit

So I think it would be under Steering wheel electronics which gives you SCCM(steering column module)

But cant check live data the now as wife has car till Sunday :fail

When I get car back I will check for you:thumb:

SORRY never seen your car was a ML and my laptop has powered down will check later today for you....

I used it with my existing Bluetooth ODBII reader, it found a couple of ECUs but missed the majority of them, and then it found several 'faults' with my COMAND unit which works fine. And yes you have to cough up forty quid before it tells you that it did not actually find any ECUs...

To be fair, it might work better if I bought and used their own BT adapter, as opposed to the generic one I have now, but I do not know....

Update:

The German vendor of the iViNi App confirmed that when using their own BT adaptor most ECUs will be recognised, so I ordered it and will update once received.

Throwing good money after bad money? Time will tell....

Could someone please post a link to the Delphi please? I want to make sure I get the right one!

I take it yours is a 53 plate if so the W163 does not have access on Delphi to that controller:doh:

It only does it from W164 2006 onwards :fail

First of all thanks again for all this info everybody.
Yes mine is a w163 so would you know if it's just this controller that I won't be able to access or is there's any more I won't be able to access.
I've seen this on Amazon is this the same one

Just noticed that on my Delphi system I can tap in the VIN number & it reads out the car etc but you cannot validate it as the button does not go live ?
Most other things work OK , in fact I hooked up to a old 98 E320 D & it read out the codes& live data, seeing as it states diesels from 2004 onwards I was pretty impressed! So anyone else have a problem validating the Vin ?

I also have Delphi 150E I used to borrow my mates genuine one and found it done every car I ever tried it on so I bought one from Fleabay and it is brilliant. would heartily recommend one to you all.

Hi Thanks for the advice, bought a Bluetooth one last week on ebay and after the usual amount of mucking around got it talking to my wife's Z4. It was able to tell me which of her rear parking sensors was faulty.
On my car however (W203 C32) it did not appear to have the parking sensor option although it did have a lot of other information.
I would highly recommend the autocom ds150e as it has a lot of options, I paid a dealer £80 last year just to plug their STAR system in to my car to tell me my crank sensor had failed (which I suspected already).

Has anyohne managed to get the Delphi 150E to diagnose which Parking Sensor has failed?

I'm new to mine but seems I'm not alone in not being able to find the Parktronic module.
