So, after one of my rear bags decided it didn’t want to inflate anymore followed by the air compressor pooping itself, I decided to go down the coilover route.

Having had bags fail on a previous W211 I owned, I didn’t want to fix the rears and then be worrying about the fronts letting go at some point, especially with a road trip coming up in a few weeks!
Fronts were a quick issue free change, rears were a bit more of a pain in the butt!

The road trip is euro tunnel to France, staying for a night in Dunkirk then onto the Nurburgring for 2 days. From there heading to Amsterdam for 3 nights then ferry home! Hoping to get a blast or two down the autobahn while I’m there too.

Took me a while to get the right amount of ‘clicks’ (stiff / hard) to how I like it but, she drives like a dream now! BC coilovers have 30 clicks of adjustment... 15 soft and 15 hard.

Had the ride height, alignment and corner weighting set up at Northampton Motorsports.

Just need to get some tires now, currently on PS4 s however one of the rears has a slight bit if cracking on the sidewall so I’m either going to replace both rears for like for like of change all 4 for something else… any recommendations are appreciated!

Anyway, heres a few pics of the change and the from the day at Northampton!

Oh, and the chunky monkey weighed in at 1,890.5KG (half a tank of fuel onboard and minus me!)
