Hello everyone,
My 2014 e220 (facelift) was hit by another car from the rear and the bumper and reinforcement bar were destroyed. As a consequence the headrests came out (presafe i guess) and the car started calling emergency services by itself.
Since then i've had the car repaired (new bumper, reinforcement bar etc.) but the "Collision Prevention Assist Plus Inoperative" warning comes up every time i start the engine. It goes away as soon as the ignition is turned off. I have even tried to disable the collision prevention option from the menu however it gets turned on automatically and the car displays this error message upon engine start.
Can anyone please guide me on this as I know the dealership will charge £200+ for diagnostics which will require further £££ for the wiring harness, sensors, module whatever they feel may be causing the problem.
