Not sure what you are referring to here, but Lexus already do this - tacho lighting changes colour as revs rise, first to amber then to red. Likewise the speedo changes colour - goes amber at about 75-80mph and red at 100mph (or so I'm told....)

yep the japs have been doing this since the 90's... i always thought it was a little tacky but lets see how the germans do it

Cant see embedded videos on the forum for some reason but if it's what I think it is it is also on BMW M sport and M models or at leat the ones I've been in. When you approach the red line the colour goes from green to amber and then red.
