Since I still haven't got a european manual for my Comand 2.0 unit I wonder the following;

The TMC function works for navigation but I would still like to have the TP - "Traffic Programme" information as well.

On my Audio 10 CD it worked perfectly (it came on when I was tuned to other radio stations as well as when listening to a CD) but on my Comand I haven't heard anything yet :-( I've noticed that I can switch on/off the TP by pressing mute for a couple of seconds, the indicator is either black or red then.

First of all, is it supposed to be red or black when it's turned on?

Am I supposed to do anything else besides that?

Anyone who got a manual (european version) for Comand 2.0 ?

TIA!

I can post you a CD with it all on

On my COMAND-APS (DVD based system) Traffic announcements are enabled by (in Radio screen) pressing the soft key on the left labelled TA

yes, they are different functions and COMAND 2/2.5 does support TP.

Correct, this alternates between TP on/off. Alternatively, if you have linguatronic, you can say "traffic on" or "traffic off".

I seem to remember it's supposed to be red when turned on. Can check on mine if you like.

No, should work when activated, provided of course you're listening to a channel that broadcasts RDS and has traffic announcements. Works fine in mine.

Yes, the one that came with my car :rolleyes:, but that's not an electronic one that I could send you :o.

Television, that would be great!

I sent you a private message.

:-)

Television (or indeed Kingpin!), any chance of posting the manual on a file hosting site?

Stratman,

Haven't received any file (yet) from "television".

I'll let you know if and when!

The Cd's most commonly offered on ebay are simply downloads of the following website;

I've yet to come across a European/English Comand manual on the internet.

The original paper version can be bought online of course. If you can find anyone with some stock. Last time we enquired at a dealership they told us that they would go on back order. They can take months to arrive as Mercedes only seem to produce a batch every few months. That said, I know one or two people have been lucky and got one within a few days.

Malcolm,

Thanks for the effort but I think that the information I want to read about (TP, RDS etc.) is only available in european versions of the manual (I may be wrong here). Also, if there is a european manual which is based on the latest firmware that would be a bonus.

But, most of all I would like a article number for such a manual so I can order one from my dealer and put in my car.

So, if anybody else has this please let me/us know!

The Command order number on mine is for what it is worth

DaimlerChrysler 02 Blaupunkt 8 622 403 041 index parts-No 230 584 11 82 EN edition B

As seen, that is for Command 2 for the SL

It cost £18 and 5 days

What car do you have? For my S-class, the part number is:

220 584 14 83 (Edition D)

I ordered my COMAND manual from my dealer, took 8 days to show up, then they had 5 to choose from!! Cost me £17.97 :)
