Comand 2.0

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have just bought a COMAND unit for my Mercedes ML (Pre facelift model).

The unit has a C connector on the back of it but I don't have a C connector in the wiring loom of my ML.

Has anyone retrofitted a COMAND to a pre fecelift ML and does anyone know exactly how to wire up the C Connector?

I've been to a few of the websites showing how to wire them up but I don't think they apply as they all talk about the C Connector as if it is already in the wiring loom.

A pin out and pics would be extremely helpful if anyone has them ?

You need an adapter cable, you can make them but I would strongly suggest that you email www.comand.co.uk or pm alfie on here and buy a made up one.

Then it really is plug and play.

You should have an A connector (power etc), b connector (Speakers, unless you have Bose in which case you have fibre instead of a B connector) and possibly a c connector.

The answers we need here are ; do you have a Cd changer? do you have a photo of the rear of the existing unit or the wiring left when you remove the existing unit?

We can then answer your questions more fully.
