I have just got the MB 'hideaway' GPS Comand antenna part number 230 820 08 75.

Sorry to sound dumb, but where is this supposed to go? It looks pig ugly, so I do not really want to see any of it - can it be stuck to the underside of the dash or rear parcel shelf? Will the GPS signal get through the plastic of the dash or rear shelf?

If not, then if it has to be seen, does anyone know of a plastic cover for it?

I also orderd the wrong part as it has a WICLIC connector instead of the HRS connector - does anyone know the part number for a HRS - WICLIC lead?

Thanks

Hi Meb,

Been looking into this for a while - hope to install Comand in mine soon.

I think the part number you need is 203 540 70 06 although I am sure someone will confirm soon.

Cheers

Guy

Hi

The GPS antenna is used purely for sat nav

It can be mounted anywhere that is has a line of sight to the sky and it can see thru plastic but not metal , so under the dash or rear parcel shelf are fine and I think are also Mb recommended locations.

An alpine GPS antenna already has the Plug for comand apparantly - I havent seen one but thats what I am told.
