Comand aps 4.1

I have a COMAND APS 4.1 satnav installed in my 2005 E350. The satnav only allows partial posrcode entry (i.e. 4 characters) instead of full postrcode like TomTom and others. I wonder if there is a firmware/software update which I can get to improve that?

No. Sorry.
The very latest COMAND units I believe do take the full UK postcode, but older units dont. They cant be upgraded either, so you are stuck with what you got I am afraid.
It is one of the really bad points of the COMAND system.

Thanks for the info. Surely it is the software that controls the interfaces and algorithm - its such a shame that there are no s/w upgrade available.
