Comand clarficication please

Morning gents I've spent a couple of hours searching the forum and think I might have answered my questions before asking them, however I just want to clarify before I make a mistake here.
So.....Just bought an 05 CLS500, Comand has a Version 4.1 disk.

1. I believe I can upgrade to version 11 immediately with no software/dealer upgrade problems, nothing else needed is this correct?
(I've trawled through lots of issued reported with versions 7, 8 etc, I understand V11 bypasses these?)

2. Will this version give me 3d map viewing?

3 Anything else juicy with it?

Sorry misread first post. You have a CLS so Comand NTG1. Latest disc is V11: Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: Mercedes Navigation Disks :: Comand APS Map DVD Europe 2010/2011 (V11.0) for E (W211), SL, SLK, Maybach, S (W220), CL (W215), CLS

You can upgrade direct from V4 to V11.

No mention of 3d mapping on the above link. Email Comand Online to check. AFAIK NTG1 doesnt have 3D maps.

No NTG1 I have edited my post above. I misread first post.

NTG1 in your car. It does not have 3D (Birdseye) mode.

Although, I am told that the SL unit (which is made by Siemens not Becker) NTG1 does do birdseye with the latest firmware and map. (and thus probably W220 S and W215 CL with NTG1 do)

PS, worth doing the MY2007 firmware update which allows you to display ETA at the bottom of the map screen when navigating - which is nice

Thanks for the help guys, I'm all upgraded now, quite a large difference, still no 3d, buts lots of other features.

I've found TMC (does this only work if you put in a destination, not on just "map"?)
Smoother mapping in general
More guidance, more like my TomTom, "move to left lane" before a turnoff etc.
Obviously more roads included.
Different voice maybe? seems easier on my ears
