The problem is as per the title. The other displays are bright by day and dimmer by night, but the COMAND display just stays on night. Is it possible to reset it somehow?

Have you tried the Ctrl + Alt+ Delete method Dennis?:D

Remove the negative terminal from the main battery and leave it for 10minutes before reconnecting.
Got to be worth a try.

I’m certain it’s a setting in the display section, you can have it set permanently to Day, Night or Auto.

There is such a setting.

You can also re-set COMAND as well to the default settings.

As above, you have to choose in settings.

Don’t forget the secret menu to select ‘AMG’ mode for the 500 ;)

I couldn't find it in the Display section, but now I know it's there, I'll look again.

On my car's command you need to go to Service (SERV), System, Display. You have 3 settings, Day, Night and Auto.

Reminds me of this classic: ;)
