Comand does not read CD Titles

When I push the magazine button on the comand it reads some CD titles and tracks. It also displays the title and tracks when the CD is playing.

However it does not read all of them and just shows 'track 1' or 'track 2' etc. These are all genuine CD's not copies.

Is this normal or is there a way to retify this? Or is it something written into the actual CD itself? This is in a W211 with the 6 CD changer.

It's CD dependant. Not many have the info.

Does it read all the 'older' cd's correctly and have difficulty with newer ones?

I used to love watching multi channel music dvd's in the car

Try burning MP3 Cd's Should work in the cd changer.

You should also be able to play MP3 dvd's in the internal comand DVD drive.

No it reads brand new ones but not older ones...thanks It also plays MP3's in the changer but does not display track names or titles.

the only way to solve this is to rip your cd to your computer, then rename each track, then burn yourself a new copy
