Comand Install

Hi guys,

I'm looking to have Comand installed in my E-Class. I've had a look around on the internet and there are guys who will do the full install for £1000 (give or take).

Is that a good price? Theres a guy on e-bay who does it and has 100% positive feedback (can't be bad???). I was then hoping to get the ARGOS Integration Kit installed for bluetooth connectivity with my mobile phone. Does anyone know if what I've put makes any sense whatsoever (technically of course!) ?

Can anyone help an eegit like me make a decision?

Welcome! PM a member called Alfie who will give you good sound advice. He is based 'darn 'sarf but will still be able to offer honest help.

BTW - we have a NW GTG most months (1st Wednesday) near Wigan - take a look in the events section and maybe come meet the mad people fellow MB owners

Thanks for the info too, I had sent a request for a quote through to Alfies website so thats pretty lucky. I'll PM him too just to introduce myself!

As for the GTG that sounds really good. I'll keep an eye on the events page for some info.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I persoanlly think £1000 for an E-Class is way too cheap.

1. Are you getting a warranty with the unit?

2. There is around 3/4 hours work involved installing a comand in an E-Series

3. Do you REALLY trust someone from Ebay not to botch it up. ( Yes I know they might be genuine and know what they are doing)

I would wait and see what Alfie say's to you, and if he doesnt install comand's in the E series then and I'm sure he will recomend someone that he has confidence in that can do the install properly.

£1,000 for a W210 install is a good price if it includes warranty, replacement fascia (circa £160 +VAT), mounting bracket, antennae and genuine CD plus coding!

PM me the id of the seller and i'll let you know via PM if its someone known to me who does these things properly.

I was afraid someone was going to say that speedybiker! I know what you mean though thats why I aksked the lads and lasses in the know!
