When using the telephone on my 2019 glc 43 sometimes the phone book displays the contact name and numbers but other times it only displays the phone number with no name. I took the car into be serviced yesterday and MB Chelsea and they were clueless. Any ideas? I have an iPhone SE and iPhone 12 and it happens with both. The car has the Comand system.

It could be worth doing a factory reset on the COMAND system (which will wipe all your data, including POI's, navigation history, etc.) and re-pairing your phones.
If that doesn’t fix it, I’m not sure what else you could try.
