COMAND NTG 2.5 Connector

Just an audio 20 and a aux female in the glove box

Ah! I was hoping you might have a fibre optic harness in place already.
Essentially, you only need a pair of fibre leads, terminated with male plugs - can't be that difficult to get from MB?
Assuming you got the electric part of the harness with the new COMAND unit?

I don't suppose you're next door, are you? - judging by your user name ;)
I could've fitted that for you no problem.

Don't suppose you could point me in the right direction. How many cables will I need and where can I a connection box [quadlock] for the back of the ntg2.5. Thanks

I did actually consider this route, before deciding on an aftermarket model-specific unit ...[/QUOTE]

Which aftermarket did you end up with?

Do you know if the Ntg2.5 plays music from your mobile via Bluetooth? My current system (audio20) has telepnone via Bluetooth but not music which seemed odd. Got me thinking then why would the ntg2.5 have the the music?

Thanks

COMAND NTG2.5 will only connect over BT for voice calls, but not for streaming music.

You can however use an FM adapter that will work with either Audio20 or COMAND.

I bought an Erisin ES6982, and fitted it in August last year - entirely trouble-free so far.
The spec is now a tad outdated (4GB RAM is current, I have 2GB), but it's still very fast and does everything I need, including great sound quality through my 'power sound' setup - I have extra speakers and a subwoofer in the spare wheel.
