Comand NTG4, DVD map update or reflash?

Called the parts department of my local dealer to find out the price of dvd map updates, and gave my chassis number etc, and was told that mine needs maps reflashing, and not DVD updates. Odd considering everything I've seen is that I need the DVDs?

-I even gave him the part number to the dvd i thought it was, and was told, yes, they are navigation disks, but not for your car...

Its a 2010 C63, with the pop up comand unit. So which is it??

There are inded newer map disks for the car. But you 'might' need to have the comand reflashed for the maps to load. Perhaps thats what the dealer is referring to.
